Alessandro Santos

Brazilian-born midfielder, who is mostly uitilised as a left winger, and has been a regular in the Japanese national team since 2002, when he represented hosts Japan at the FIFA World Cup™. Also played for his adopted nation at the 2003 and 2005 editions of the FIFA Confederations Cup. Should be able to confirm a squad place for Japan’s Germany-bound squad, but could be hard pressed by talented youngsters. Has played for Shimizu S-Pulse and current side Urawa Red Diamonds.
