Patrick Drewes

For this young man, it's a dream come true! Having just emerged from the youth team, Patrick Drewes was called into the full professional side as third goalkeeper by coach Felix Magath during the 2012 summer break. The nomination is a reward for years of consistency in the 'Wolves' youth teams. Drewes, who made the move to VfL from TuS Heidkrug in 2008, is considered a stable last man with lightning-quick reflexes along with good reading of the game, in spite of his mere 19 years. And he radiates a calming effect on those ahead of him on the pitch. His time in the Bundesliga will surely come!
